I feel like I had to rack my brains for things I loved last month as most of my skincare stays the same each month. I did manage to think of a few things, though…
I know , I know, I’m totally late to the party with this one. I heard everyone raving about it for months but sometimes that just puts me off and I think everyone is just following the sheep but I was wrong. I decided to watch the first two episodes after Shannon watched it and enjoyed it. It takes something special, show wise, to grab Shannon’s attention so I knew then it must be worth a watch. I was completely hooked from the first show. I think it’s worth saying here that I do not like any shows that are supernatural at all and this show does have some weird goings on but it didn’t put me off! The characters are all so loveable and I think it’s a show I could watch over and over again. I now cannot wait until next year to find out what happens next.
Me Before You
After reading the book, I fell in love with this story. I have read the book multiple times so I was apprehensive when the movie came out because it’s never really as good as the book, is it? Oh, it is this time! The characters, the setting, just everything is how I had pictured it in my head. The movie was released on Sky Cinema this week and I cried with happiness! I went to see the movie three times in the cinema, something I haven’t done since Titanic was released. I’ve watched it twice already. It’s going to be my go-to chick flick when hubby is working late.
Lush Halloween range.
I love most Lush products but I’m a sucker for a seasonal range. I think this year is the first I’ve tried the Halloween range and it doesn’t disappoint. I’m not a huge fan of Pumpkin scents but I don’t think any of them are overpowering.
I’ve tried the Monster’s Ball bath bomb and Sparkly pumpkin so far. I’m the type of girl who can’t have a bath if it doesn’t involve bubbles so I tend to put bubble bath in even with a bath bomb.
The Monster’s Ball bath bomb is too cute, the colours are beautiful when it’s dissolving and the scent is quite fruity. It didn’t settle into a yucky colour like they sometimes do either. It stayed all swirly pretty colours.
The Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar is great too, not a lot of people like the glitter in their bath but I love it! The glitter settles on the bubbles which have a lovely effect and the scent is really wintery. Add some candles and this is my favourite kind of bath.
As soon as I realised we were getting a visit from Canadian family last month, I instantly messaged asking nicely for a Bath & Bodyworks candle. I’ve stopped burning the candles I purchased in Canada at summer because I don’t want them to run out! Sad, I know. Trust me, they are that good.
My lovely mother in law brought me over the Autumn candle and I couldn’t have been happier! It’s one of my favourites and when you light it, it smells like a beautiful Autumn day. Crisp air & Autumn leaves.
I just need to figure out a way to get some Christmas scented ones now for December. Come on Bath & Bodyworks, please open in the UK!!
The last couple of weeks of September, I have ditched the makeup more often than not. Part laziness, part giving my skin a wee break before the colder weather comes in. So there are no new makeup favourites this month, although Charlotte Tilbury has now opened a store in Glasgow and I’m dying to go in for a look.
So that’s it for the favourites this month, as Christmas gets closer I’m sure my favourites will be filled with Seasonal goodies. It’s only 12 weeks today!
