I wasn’t planning on blogging over the weekends as it’s my busiest days for work but since I haven’t missed a day yet, I’ll attempt to go for a month without a break. I’m not promising it will always be like that though, I think I’ll end up doing blog posts Monday – Friday and having the weekend off (haha, I wish).
This weekend was a bit back to front with work. I was super busy on Friday with jobs on all over the place. Saturday was quite quiet with only two deliveries and today I had a day off! I only open the shop on Sundays if I have deliveries so today was a rare treat. Typically, though I still woke up at 8am and got a start on our Autumn cleaning.
The girls were out with friends today so we just plodded along getting odd jobs done. It is still strange when both of the girls are out and we’re just in the house ourselves. However, the dogs took the girls place with interruptions in between the cleaning.
So, my plans for the week ahead. The to-do list has officially been started today for jobs to do before the Canadian family arrive. I now officially have a cupboard dedicated to baking which I’m super excited about! It won’t all be work and no play this week though as I have a lunch date semi-arranged with my best friend, Heather, so I’m looking forward to that. Between work and being mums, I just don’t get enough time to catch up with friends, it’s something that I need to work on.
Apart from cleaning, working and one lunch date, I have nothing else planned for the week. I would like to start organising through pictures in the loft, though. I did say I would do a blog post on the Canadian family story but to cut a long story short, hubby has only recently got in touch with his dad and siblings. This is his dad’s first visit to Scotland and I’m hoping he will like a look through his childhood pictures as it might help build a picture of the missing years.
My typical Sunday nights end with a wee glass of wine so I’m off to pour one and start a new book.
Love, Tammy x
