I am obsessed with monthly favourites videos on YouTube so the idea of doing a favourites post on here at the end of every month really appeals to me.
This probably won’t change much over the months to be honest as I tend to use the same things, if they agree with my skin.
BEAUTY & SKINCARE
Carmex. Everyone that knows me, knows that I am never without one of these little pots. I get really dry lips and Carmex is the only thing that helps. It is a must have for all seasons and as I only like a couple of lipsticks and never wear lipgloss, this is my ultimate go-to lip care. You can get it in a squeezy tube too but my favourite is the little cute pots.
Liz Earle Skincare – This is the skincare I’m using at the moment.I use the cleanser, toner, moisturiser and the exfoliator. The cleanser is really good at removing makeup or just for a general freshen up. The exfoliator I only use once a week, it’s good for a deeper clean. The moisturiser, I wear every day too, I put it underneath my makeup and then reapply it at night, after I have taken my makeup off . To be honest I still feel like I’m on the hunt for a moisturiser that benefits my skin. These products are all from the original range and the scent is lovely and fresh, I do believe there is a limited edition scent too, I’ll be putting that on my Christmas list!
LUSH Rosy Cheeks face mask – I love a good face mask and this was the first I tried this one (where have I been?). I like a face mask that dries out once you apply it and this one does. It takes a good bit of rinsing to get it off but my skin looks and feels amazing afterwards. Even the next day my skin looks so much brighter, I can see this being a regular purchase. As with all Lush masks, it has to be refrigerated which is nice as it cools your skin down when you apply it.
Estee Lauder-Double Wear Foundation – I always used Nars Sheer Glow before the summer but Shannon and I were out shopping and I asked for a tester on this after seeing it in someone else’s favourites. I love it. It’s really creamy, blends beautifully and really is long lasting. I did fall asleep one night without taking my make-up off and it was still on the next morning, I was almost tempted to leave it on!
I purchased two new t-shirts this month, both from Libellula Boutique in Uddingston. I love a good slogan T and when I seen these advertised on their Facebook page, I had to have them! I love this wee shop, I wouldn’t normally shop in a Boutique style store, I prefer high street chains but the staff here and so friendly and the dresses they have are beautiful, I’m on the lookout for an invite to somewhere so I can buy one. They do post out too so if you fancy a look you can check out their Facebook page.
I don’t really watch TV that often, the only thing I have to keep updated with is Coronation Street.
This month, however, I discovered Naked Attraction. OMG! The first time I watched it, I had my hands over my eyes through half of the show, now I’ve gotten used to seeing all the naked bits, it’s actually really interesting. In case you haven’t heard of it, it’s a show on channel 5 (UK) on a Monday night, 10pm. It’s a dating show (?). Six people are in boxes, completely naked and there is one person looking for a date that slowly has to pick one person off at a time, as each part of the person’s body is revealed, from the feet up. Shallow? Probably! Entertaining? If you aren’t prudish then it’s definitely got an entertainment value to it. I love it.
The only other programme we watch together is Wentworth Prison, we’re nearing the end of the Season now but if you like Prison Dramas then this is a must watch. It’s an Australian show, in its fourth season. It can be quite violent and normally I don’t like that sort of thing but the storylines are really good.
Of course, blogging is the newest addition to my life, I’m really enjoying it. Thinking of blog post ideas can sometimes be a bit tricky but I’m getting there. This month Shannon and I will work on getting the website just how I want it.
Feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you’ve been loving this month.
Love, Tammy x
